Training Program, Events, Courses and Workshops Terms and Conditions

OUR TERMS AND CONDITIONS RELATE TO ALL OPEN AND IN-HOUSE PROGRAMMES, EVENTS, COURSES AND WORKSHOPS FOR INDIVIDUALS AND ORGNISATIONS.

Participants

By enrolling and acceptance in our training programmes, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.

Organisations

By acceptance of our Master Services Agreement and if applicable any Statement of Works you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions and the terms and conditions within the Master Services Agreement.

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) are entered into by and between Renewal Associates Ltd, hereinafter referred to as the “Renewal,” and the participant herein after referred to as “Participant” or organisation, hereinafter referred to as the “Organisation”.

  1. Training Programme Description
    1. Renewal agrees to provide training services as described in the selected training
      programme details or Services Agreement and the Participant or Organisation agrees to abide by the terms and conditions outlined herein.
  2. Definitions
    1. ‘Renewal’ means Renewal Associates Ltd.
    2. ‘Participant’ means an individual or “Organisation” means an organisation who wishes to
      enrol in a Programme and who has either applied and been accepted or agreed to a written proposal and where relevant the payment has been received or terms agreed.
    3. The terms “Programme”, “Event,” “Course,” and “Workshop” are used interchangeable,
      and mean an entire training Programme for which a single fee is charged, or a Training
      Programme designed for an Organisation. These terms are as follows but not limited to.
    4. Programme: A structured series of learning activities designed to achieve specific learning
      outcomes or objectives. Programmes are often more comprehensive and may span an extended period, covering a variety of topics to enhance participants’ skills or knowledge in a particular field.
    5. Event: An organised occurrence or happening, sponsored by Renewal of an in-person or virtual opportunity for others for free or for a fee, often involving a gathering of people for a specific purpose. Events can include a wide range of activities, such as conferences, seminars, webinars, or social gatherings, and may or may not have a specific educational
      focus.
    6. Course: A structured educational Programme focused on a specific subject or topic.
      Courses are typically more formal and academic in nature, with defined curriculum,
      assessments, and often lead to certification or recognition upon completion.
    7. Workshop: An interactive and participatory learning experience, often focused on
      practical skills and hands-on activities. Workshops are usually shorter in duration and may involve group discussions, problem-solving exercises, and application of knowledge in real-world scenarios.
    8. ‘Participant’ or ‘Organisation’ means an individual or organisation who has either applied and been accepted and enrolled or agreed to a written proposal or services agreement and where relevant the payment has been received and/or who has been accepted onto the Programme, or a services agreement signed.
    9. ‘Module’ means one or more consecutive training days that make up a series of non- consecutive training to form a single Programme.
    10. ‘Start of Programme’ means the calendar day of the first day of the Programme.
  3. Prices/Fees
    1. All deposits and fees are non-refundable.
    2. Fees are correct at time of publishing. Renewal reserves the right to adjust these prices at any time in order to meet their genuine costs.
    3. Fees advertised for each programme are agreed with a Participant on acceptance of application and are binding by both parties.
    4. Fees contained within a proposal or services agreement with Organisations are binding by both parties and exclude any expenses that may be incurred for travel, accommodation and any other associated costs.
    5. All fees are excluding VAT or any other taxes that may be applicable.
  4. Services Agreement with individuals and organisations (‘Client’)
    1. Payments under the terms of any Services Agreement are payable as per the terms included or within 7 days from invoice date.
    2. Without prejudice to any other right or remedy that it may have, if the Client fails to pay Renewal on the Due Date:
    3. The Client shall pay interest on the overdue amount at the rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate at the relevant time. Such interest will accrue on a daily basis from the due date until actual payment of the overdue amount, whether before or after judgment. Renewal may choose to charge statutory interest due. The Client shall pay the interest together with the overdue amount; and
    4. Renewal may suspend all Services until payment has been made in full.
    5. All sums payable to Renewal under a Services Agreement shall become due immediately
      on its termination, despite any other provision.
  5. Payment
    1. Various payment methods are offered and full details available on request;
      1. Credit/debit card payment by Barclaycard or Mastercard are accepted, but not
        payment by American Express.
      2. Bank Transfer into bank UK bank accounts, GBP£, USD$ and $EUR, and Wise US
        bank account. Details available on request
      3. We do not accept payment by PayPal
    2. Due account should be taken when making payment to ensure that any bank transfer charges are added to the payment and sufficient local currency should be made available to ensure the full sterling amount is received by Renewal when calculating the exchange rate at the date of transfer.
    3. Payment by bank transfer in any other currency than that of the bank account paid into (GBP£, USD$ and €EUR bank currency accounts) will incur additional bank charges and currency exchange rate variances beyond Renewal’s control. It is the responsibility of the Participant to ensure the amount paid covers such costs and the amount received is the full sterling amount fee amount for the programme.
    4. Failure to make full payment will invalidate the Participants place on the Programme
    5. Interest may be charged at the rate of 8% above Bank of England Base Rate for past due
      payments.
  6. Programmes Fees
    1. The full sterling price as detailed on the invoice is payable.
    2. The Participant agrees to make the full payment for the training programme as per the
      pricing specified by Renewal.
    3. Full payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date, or by the start of the Programme,
      whichever is the soonest, with the exception of late Participants or Modular Programmes
      where instalment options have been advertised.
    4. To qualify for Early Bird pricing incentives, payment in full must be received within 7 days
      of the invoice date, unless otherwise stated.
    5. It is the responsibility of the Participant to confirm his/her place by forwarding payment
      and ensuring it is received.
    6. A place on a Programme is not confirmed until full payment has been received, unless
      otherwise stated in the offer email or invoice.
    7. Without payment, a Participant is not booked onto the Programme and cannot attend.
  7. Action Learning/Group Supervision Fees
    1. Systemic Team Coaching® Certificate (Practitioner) Programme Action Learning/Group Supervision sessions are additional to the Programme fees and as advertised for each Programme. All sessions must be completed to attain the full certification.
    2. It is the participants responsibility to ensure they can attend all the dates and times advertised prior to application.
    3. In the event that the participant is unable to attend some of the sessions they will be required to either attend individual supervision sessions, join a new group, where all the sessions must be completed. Failure to complete all sessions will result in the
      certification not being attained
    4. TAdditional fees will be charged for individual supervision at the current standard rate for
      the supervisor appointed, or for group sessions at the full group session fee, not the
      programme reduced fee.
    5. All other Action Learning/Group Supervision Programme fees are as advertised, and the
      above terms and conditions also apply.
  8. Modular Programme Fees by Instalment
    1. Some Modular Programmes are advertised with the option to pay by instalment, the individual dates and payment amounts must be adhered to.
    2. To qualify for Early Bird pricing incentives, payments in instalments must be paid by the specified dates, or the full published Programme price will become payable if payment is not received by the scheduled dates.
    3. Instalment payments are agreed by both parties on application and acceptance on to the programme. A schedule will be provided by Renewal.
    4. It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure these payments are received by the dates in the payment schedule.
    5. Non-payment will lead to your place on the programme being forfeited, and full payment will still be due.
    6. Withdrawal from the Programme
      If the participant opts to pay the training fee in instalments, the full fee remains payable even if the participant decides to withdraw from the training before its completion.
    7. Cancellation and Refunds
      In the event of withdrawal, the participant is liable to continue making instalment payments as scheduled until the total fee is fully paid, regardless of attendance or completion of the program
    8. Non-Completion
      Non-completion of the training does not absolve the participant from their obligation to settle the full fee.
  9. Transfers
    1. Should Participant wish to transfer to a later Programme, the Renewal policy is to apply charges for administrative purposes, length of time given notification in writing and a difference in the fee of the Programme.
    2. Oral notification will not be accepted.
    3. Written notification (by email) must be received within normal UK office working hours and receipt acknowledged by Renewal.
    4. The transfer option only applies to Participants who are transferring to a different date for the same type of Programme.
    5. Participants must specify their choice of transfer date at the time of transfer.
    6. The option to transfer can only be used once, after which non-attendance will be treated as a cancellation and all payments will be due.
    7. If a Participant uses the transfer option, the original Programme Invoice and the transfer Invoice remain due, if the transfer reservation is subsequently cancelled, full payment is due.
    8. Where the Programme is a Module Programme Participants may not transfer to a Module on a later Programme. Attendance at each scheduled Module for the Programme booked and the Assessment Day(s) are required in order to successfully complete the Programme.
    9. Exceptions will be handled on an individual basis, be subject to availability, carry an additional charge to cover any administrative costs incurred and are at the sole discretion of Renewal and Faculty.
    10. If a deferment is agreed all payment instalments will be due as stated on the original invoice. Completion of the Programme must be within 6 months of the deferment date. If the Programme is not completed within this time frame the Participant will be required to pay the full fee to start the Programme from first Module.
    11. Programme transfer requests received in advance of the start of the Programme are charged at the following percentage of the full Programme fee and not any discounted fees, plus administrative and card charge that may apply:
      • more than 60 days   –>   none
      • 60 – 30 days   –>   25%
      • 30 – 15 days   –>   50%
      • less than 15 days   –>   75%
  10. Cancellation by Participant – No Refund Policy
    1. The Participant acknowledges and agrees that all payments made for the Programme are non-refundable.
    2. Notice of cancellation from a Programme must be in writing (by email) and must be received within normal business hours and receipt acknowledged by Renewal.
    3. Oral notification will not be accepted.
    4. In the event of withdrawal or termination from the Programme, the Participant is not entitled to a refund of any portion of the payment made and Renewal reserves the right to reclaim any costs of processing fees through third party card portals.
    5. In exceptional circumstances Renewal reserves the right to:
      1. allow a refund less any costs incurred by Renewal and to charge an additional administrative fee.
      2.   allow the Participant to defer to the next programme or leave a credit on file for future training.
    6. Where the Programme is a Module Programme and the Participant should leave before completion of one of the Modules, the fees associated with that Module will still be payable in full if not already paid and the balance of the full programme fees due.
    7. Renewal retains the right to make changes to any Programme as shown in the interests of Programme integrity.
      Exceptions for the Systemic Team Coaching® Diploma (Senior Practitioner) Programme:
    8. Accommodation and travel costs are not included in the Programme fee, unless otherwise stated in the marketing.
    9. Accommodation and travel are the responsibility of the participant, and it is also the participants responsibility to ensure that they arrive in time for the start of each module and do not leave until the completion of each module, as per the dates and times advertised for the Programme.
    10. If one total payment has been made for the Systemic Team Coaching® Certificate (Practitioner) Programme and Systemic Team Coaching® Diploma (Senior Practitioner) Programme and if after completion of the Systemic Team Coaching® Certificate (Practitioner), the faculty believes it is in the Participant’s best interest to withdraw from the Systemic Team Coaching® Diploma (Senior Practitioner) Programme, all fees will be refunded for the Diploma aspect of the payment.
    11. Should a Participant leave or withdraw after the start of the Systemic Team Coaching® Diploma (Senior Practitioner), all fees for the Programme will be payable in full.
    12. Renewal retains the right to make changes to the Systemic Team Coaching® Diploma (Senior Practitioner) in the interests of Programme integrity.
    13. Inability to attend a pre-booked and paid for Module due to unforeseen circumstances constitutes cancellation and the above conditions will apply, and full payment will be due for the Systemic Team Coaching® Diploma (Senior Practitioner) Programme.Exception for Assessed Programmes:
    14. Attendance at each scheduled Module and at the Assessment Day(s) for the Assessed Programme is required in order to successfully complete the Programme. Exceptions will be handled on an individual basis at the discretion of Renewal and Faculty.
    15. If for any reason the Participant is unable to attend a Module, notice must be in writing (by email) and must be received at least 30 days in advance within normal business hours and receipt acknowledged by Renewal, (oral notification will not be accepted), otherwise the full fee will be due.
    16. It is the responsibility of the Participant to ensure that notice in writing has been received by Renewal and acknowledged.Tutorials Systemic Team Coaching® Diploma (Senior Practitioner) Programme.
    17. If for any reason a Participant needs to cancel or re-schedule a tutorial, with less than 24 hours’ notice, a fee equivalent to the tutor’s hourly charge out rate will be charged.
    18. Participants must attend both tutorials in order to pass the Diploma (Senior Practitioner).
  11. Cancellation or Changes by Renewal
    1. Renewal reserves the right to cancel Events, Programmes, Courses or Workshops, as necessary. If a Programme has to be cancelled, Renewal will make every reasonable effort to reschedule to an alternative date and will automatically move confirmed bookings to the alternative date. Renewal will provide the Participant with as much notice as is possible given the circumstances for the date change.
    2. Notice will be given in writing by email.
    3. If a Participant is unable to attend the alternative date, Renewal will provide a full refund for the amount paid.
    4. Renewal reserves the right to cancel Events, Programmes or Workshops, revise dates, times and fees or substitute facilitators or attending faculty, as necessary.
    5. If Renewal changes the venue of an Event, Programme or Workshop, even at short notice, Renewal will not be liable nor reimburse travel or accommodation costs, associated with any changes. 
  12. Substitutions
    1. Depending on the circumstances, Renewal may agree to switch a Participant who is booked onto a Programme with another Participant from the same organisation or company. A fee of 10% of the total cost of the Programme will be charged to make the changes. 
  13. Unhappy with the Programme
    1. If the Participant is unhappy with the Programme and feels that it does not meet the description given on Renewal’s website or materials and the Participant notifies the facilitator by end of first day of the Programme, Renewal will try to resolve the issue immediately with discussion between the facilitator and the Participant and themselves.
    2. The reasons for dissatisfaction will be noted and if they are deemed reasonable by Renewal and they are unable to resolve the issues, a full refund will be given for the total amount paid for the Programme, less any fees incurred for the Participants payment method and an admin fee.
    3. Non-attendance at the Programme disqualifies a Participant from any refund.
    4. In no circumstances shall Renewal’s liability (if any) under these Terms and Conditions exceed the amount paid by the Participant. 
  14. Codes of Conduct
    1. Renewal holds a policy for the code of conduct for Participants and for Facilitators. Should this code of conduct be broken, or monies be due and owing to Renewal, they reserve the right to withdraw facilities from, withhold academic awards and terminate a place on the relevant Programme. 
  15. Governing Law
    1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Adrian Lim

Adrian is an experienced Executive Coach, Systemic Team Coach and Supervisor, based in Singapore.

Adrian has over 20 years of marketing and product management experience in the consumer electronics, telecommunications and IT solutions industries. He co-authored the book ‘Into the WILD – Creating a Coaching Culture at the Workplace’ in 2021.

Fluent in both Mandarin and English, Adrian has built, led and managed physical and virtual teams across the globe. He has also accumulated in-depth appreciation of global mindfulness, cultural diversity and international business practices in Asia and around the world.

Adrian is an ICF credentialed Professional Certified Coach (PCC), accredited and certified in Meta Team, GENOS Emotional Intelligence, Everything DiSC, Emergenetics, Design Thinking and LEGO® Serious Play.

PROGRAM LEADS

Paul S H Lim

Paul has worked with Renewal Associates for over ten years, first as a client organisation and since then as an Associate. He is an experienced Leadership Development Practitioner, Executive Coach, Systemic Team Coach, Coach Supervisor and Change Consultant, based in Singapore.

His last corporate role was heading the leadership development centre in the Singapore public service and before that he was Regional Director / Managing Director with established consulting firms, working across Asia-Pacific. His clients value his depth and breadth of experience and his sensitivity to the cultural context of Asia, where he operates. He is fluent in English and Chinese, as well as dialects such as Cantonese and Hokkien. He is also conversational in Bahasa Melayu.

Paul is an accredited coach and is certified in the use of a variety of assessment and profiling instruments such as: Hogan Leadership Series, MBTI, Conflict Dynamics, NLP, Bates Executive Presence and Leadership Team Performance, MBSR, Action Learning.

Pamela Maguire

Pamela Maguire is an Executive Team coach and Supervisor. She uses a systemic eclectic approach to coaching supervision with individuals and with teams allowing the issue and solution to emerge through tapping into a range of models, theories, techniques, and processes choosing the most pertinent for the person, team, or issue.

In supervision, Pamela focuses on the needs of the team and the organization and takes into consideration the individual, the team, the organization’s stakeholders as well as the team coaches and their clients. She sees the function of the supervisor as Qualitative by helping the coach focus on what she/he is not seeing, not hearing, or not allowing themselves to feel or not saying; Developmental in that she helps the coach to develop her/his internal supervisor and reflective practitioner and resourcing by providing a supportive space for the coach to process what they have absorbed from the client and the clients’ system. She brings a blend of business acumen and human understanding and space of unconditional regard for her supervisees.

Hellen Hettinga

Hellen has been associated with Renewal Associates since 2020, building on a partner relationship with Peter since 2015. An ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), certified supervisor of coaches, mentors and consultants and facilitator in change leadership.

Hellen partners with individuals, teams and organisations navigating complex challenges in uncertain environments. Her intention is to enable conversations that matter and to create conditions for learning collectively for people and planet to thrive.

With an international corporate background and leadership experience in various sectors and countries, she works mostly with multinational organisations. She encourages embodied learning – connecting head, heart and body, ‘being rather than thinking the change’. Inviting stakeholders in the room, including the non-human ones, she challenges clients to show up as whole persons. Holding a deep curiosity and sensitivity for diversity, she believes in the power of community. Her style is described as warm with a strong, calm presence. She is known for her capacity to work with ethical dilemmas.

Professor Peter Hawkins

Peter Hawkins, Chairman of Renewal Associates, co-founder of the Global Team Coaching Institute, Emeritus Professor of Leadership at Henley Business School, and Senior Visiting Fellow, at Civil Service College (Singapore), is a leading consultant, coach, writer, and researcher in organizational strategy, leadership, culture change, team and board development, and coaching. He has worked with many leading organizations all over the world including Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South Africa, and America coaching Executive Teams and Boards and facilitating major change and organizational transformation projects. He has coached over 100 boards and senior executive teams, enabling them to develop their purpose, vision, values, collective leadership, and strategy for the future, in a wide range of international, large, and small commercial companies, government departments, NHS Trusts, professional services organizations, and charities.

Peter is an international thought leader in Systemic Coaching, Executive Teams, and Board Development, President of both the Association of Professional Executive Coaching and Supervision (www.apecs.org); and the Academy of Executive Coaching (www.aoec.com) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and the Windsor Leadership Trust. Steliana van de Rijt-Economu

Steliana van de Rijt-Economu(ICF PCC. ACTC certified) is an executive team coach with over 20 years of experience helping people and teams unlock their leadership potential.

Her professional background encompasses HR, organizational development, and leadership coaching and training for executives (E/VP, GM level) at Fortune 500 companies such as Shell, Vodafone, and Nike. With an academic foundation in Finance and Project Management, coupled with extensive practical experience in organizational and behavioral change and leader development, she excels in tackling complex challenges and seizing multifaceted opportunities within global matrix organizations.

She received the Global Women International Network award for her contribution to feminine leadership through her book: Mothers as Leaders

PROGRAM LEADS

Jonathan Sibley

Jonathan is an experienced coach who has been supporting organizational leaders since 2004. With his extensive background in systemic team coaching, he has been a valuable member of Renewal Associates’ coaching faculty since 2001. While based in New York City, Jonathan has gained international exposure, having lived in various countries and worked fluently in French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, and English. Holding an MBA from INSEAD in France, he possesses a strong academic foundation.

Jonathan’s expertise lies in applying a systemic lens to help teams navigate the complexities of organizational and team dynamics, enhancing individual and collective performance. His focus includes assisting clients in evaluating their performance against stakeholder expectations, improving relationships, managing conflicts (both intercultural and within the same culture), and addressing blind spots and obstacles, including emotional management.

Certified as a coaching supervisor and having completed the Advanced Diploma in Systemic Team Coaching, Jonathan also holds certifications in various assessment tools and methodologies. His coaching experience spans diverse industries, including finance, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, automotive, luxury, and non-profit sectors. Presently, he leads a coaching initiative within a US government agency, overseeing 48 coaches and 24 teams.

As a board member of Coaching for Justice, Jonathan actively promotes the integration of a social justice lens in coaching engagements. Additionally, he continues to cultivate his linguistic skills and enjoys traveling whenever possible.

Dr. Hilary Lines

Dr. Hilary Lines, Executive and Team Coach, Supervisor, Touchpoint Leaders, coaches leadership teams in the UK and internationally, and has particular experience in helping senior teams lead transformational change and integrate cultures post-merger. She has co-authored Touchpoint Leadership: Creating collaborative energy across Teams and organizations (Kogan Page, 2013), which describes her work and philosophy of leadership as a relationship.

Hilary has been Lead Faculty in the design and delivery of the Systemic Team Coaching® Diploma for the past 11 years. Hilary was Global Head of Partner & Leadership Development at PwC Consulting and coached the VP and Board of IBM’s EMEA Business Consulting Business before establishing her own Leadership Consulting and Coaching business. Her doctoral research examined the organizational factors that create bridges and blocks to the integration and development of R&D scientists in industry. She is a Master Practitioner Coach with AoEC and ICF PCC accredited coach.

Dr. Catherine Carr

Dr Catherine Carr is a Professional Certified Coach, Master Corporate Executive Coach, Supervisor, Certified Master Team Coach, and Registered Clinical Counsellor with Carr Kline & Associates. She has a doctorate in executive coaching and leadership development and a Masters degree in counselling psychology. In 2012 Catherine won the Goulding Award for the most outstanding professional doctorate for her work on team coaching. She is the co-author of 50 Tips for Terrific Teams! and High Performance Team Coaching, several peer reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and magazine articles on team coaching.

Catherine trains and supervises coaches in Systemic Team Coaching. She is the Head of the Practitioner Program for the Global Team Coaching Institute and the North American lead for the international group, Resilience at Work. Catherine has expertise in public sector coaching, health, pharmaceutical, finance, IT, and environmental organizations. She is grateful to do work that supports people to be well, live well and to meaningfully contribute around them and to our world.

THE TEAM

Professor Peter Hawkins

Peter is one of the Global top 100 coaches and the international thought leader in systemic coaching, executive teams, and board development. He is an Emeritus Professor of Leadership at Henley Business School, Honorary President of the Association of Executive Coaching and Chairman of Renewal Associates and joint founder and Dean of the Global Team Coaching Institute.

He has been a keynote speaker at many international conferences on learning organization, leadership, and executive coaching and teaches and leads masterclasses in Systemic Team Coaching in over 50 different countries.

He is the author of many best-selling books and papers in the fields of leadership, board and team coaching, systemic coaching, supervision, and organizational transformation (including Leadership Team Coaching, 2021 (4th ed); Leadership Team Coaching in Practice, 2022 (3rd ed); Systemic Coaching (2020, with Eve Turner); Supervision in the Helping Professions (2020, with Aisling McMahon) and Integrative Psychotherapy (2020, with Judy Ryde); Coaching, Mentoring and Organizational Consultancy: Supervision, Skills and Development (2013, with Nick Smith); Creating a Coaching Culture, 2012; and The Wise Fool’s Guide to Leadership, O Books, 2005. 

Peter was joint founder, in 1986, of Bath Consultancy Group and its chairman until the company was sold in 2010 and has chaired three other company boards as well as being a trustee director of several charities. 

Peter Hawkins has consulted to a wide range of governments, and leading commercial, financial and professional organizations including Fortune 100 and FtSE 100 international companies  

He now supervises and mentors many coaching and consultancy businesses internationally as well as running international trainings and masterclasses. 

He lives on the edge of Bath, UK with 37 acres which he shares, with many animals and trees as well as his children and grandchildren and leaders who come on courses and retreats.
